The case of Missing Smooch beetween Sanjay and Vidya.

Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap, featured a hot kiss between Sanjay Dutt and Vidya Malvade. People who saw the preview of the film held that it was a fairly long kiss, But the kiss was edited out in the final version of the film.

After the hot skin show in the film via Minissha Lamba and her miniscule wardrobe One expects Gadhvi would have persisted with the kiss. According to the man himself, the scene was cut from the film, a day before its release as it was not felt to be out of place. It is believed that the kiss was edited out of the film on Maanyata Dutt's request. She is believed to have objected to kissing scene between Sanju and Vidya.

Apparently, everybody who saw the film's preview shows were of the opinion that it did not make any sense and should be chopped off. Thus it came about that the three minute scene was cut from the movie. However, the DVD version of the movie will feature the kiss.

Kidnap is all About High Risks Manoeuvres of the Kidnapper

Kidnap is a high level drama which unveils the story with each opening scene, step by step. It is basically the story of the fight between Imran Khan (an orphan), who wants to take revenge from Sanjay Dutt (an affluent New York-based Indian businessman, who does not see beyond money). Though a kind hearted father and a loving husband, he is too proud and unable to disclose his love to his wife Vidya Malvade. Minissha Lamba is the daughter of Sanjay and Vidya.
Vidya opts for a divorce on the pretext that Sanjay does not care for their well-being and is a shrewd businessman who only loves to count money by every second increase in it. Vidya is a strict mother and she does not like or want her daughter Minissha to continue any kind of relationship with her father. Vidya has been portrayed as a strict but care taking and loving mother who believes in restricting her daughter's movements. Despite her attempt to make her understand the dangers of being out of the house during late hours at night, Minissha refuses to budge and in a fit of rage she goes out one evening.

The film depicts how the family members are torn apart by turbulent misunderstanding. Minissha leaves the house and takes a plunge in the river to cool her anger but to her dismay she is kidnapped by Imran.

Imran wants this rich and stubborn businessman Sanjay realise how important the word 'sorry' is in his life that he wanted to tell him at the age of 14 but was not allowed at that point of time because of which his life gets topsy-turvy.

Innocent and poor people are always unheard. It is only the verdict of the rich that reigns higher. Sanjay misinterprets the actions of the 14-year-old boy and is adamant in getting him behind the bars – that's the backdrop of the revenge drama.

The direction of Sanjay Gadhvi keeps you zapped with head scratching inquisitiveness. Having cast prolific actors in the movie, Gadhvi definitely expected a good job out of them. And one has to confess, the contemporary cinema-goer will positively like their performances. Imran Khan especially who has not disappointed in this new avatar in his very second film.

Sanjay Dutt's macho man entry in his very first scene is not only breathtaking but his soft heartedness towards his daughter and accepting the tasks rendered to him by the kidnapper (Imran) undoubtedly identifies with him in real life. Needless to say that he is brilliant as always. Minissha Lamba fails to ignite any fire despite her skimpily clad attire. Vidya looks too young as Minissha's mother, but her modern dresses are quite refreshing so is her performance.

All in all, Kidnap solely survives on the high risks manoeuvres of the kidnapper. The film's commercial value is kept intact. Music score is seemingly mediocre, nothing special there. The dialogues are simple, and the incidents are more like a plethora of tales with ample amount of teachings. Cinematography is superb but the editing left a lot to be desired. Probably the length of the film remains a matter to be debated. Also, the film seems to be dragging a bit in the first half. Nevertheless, it is worth a one-time watch.

Imraan Matches Minisha in an Underwater Sequence in Kidnap

Minissha Lamba is a water baby which is clear from the promos of Kidnap. But who would have thought Imran Khan would parallel his co-star while they were shooting for the film in Mauritius?

It seems Imran and Minissha have shot a chilling underwater sequence in the film, which is among the highlights of the film and also the point when she gets kidnapped. Both the actors rehearsed for the scene for almost a fortnight before taking the 'dive!

Confirms director Sanjay Gadhvi, "We trained in Mumbai in a pool. It was an elaborate shoot with a dedicated underwater DOP and a standby team of divers for rescue. I've used the same underwater specialists as the ones used in Dhoom:2. While shooting the scene I was on the boat watching the shot on the monitor, which was attached to the underwater camera by cables. We had special communication equipment through which Imran and Minissha could hear me say 'action' and 'cut' while they were underwater."

Seems like this is among the many chills and thrills Kidnap has to offer.

Minisha Lucky to be Alive

Minissha Lamba's much talked about KIDNAP saw the actress push frontiers as far as her previous box–office outings are concerned. And we aren't just talking about her new bikini–licious body!

Everyone knows that Minissha has quite an adventurous streak in her and is quite a water baby. The schedule of KIDNAP in Mauritius involved scenes where she was required to take a dip in the sea. During one such shot, so engrossed was Minissha in her mid–sea swim that she did not realize that the currents had pushed her far from where she was supposed to be.

The film's cameraman was the first to realize that she was nowhere in the frame! The crew panicked as the underwater currents had pushed her about 2 kilometers away from the coastline while Minissha was blissfully unaware of the situation. It took the crew ten minutes to finally spot the petite actress, much to everyone's relief. A speedboat was sent to retrieve her immediately!

Director Sanjay Gadhvi confirmed the news. ''It was scary to say the least but all's well that ends well!'' he remarked.

KIDNAP is this year's grand Id attraction, being relased worldwide by Indian Films – Studio 18 on Wednesday October 1st. It is Sanjay Dutt's first release of 2008 and new–age heartthrob Imran Khan's first release after his maiden smash hit, JAANE TU YA JAANE NA.

Minissha Lamba and her bikini obsession

Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap has a lot of surprise packages in store. One, it has the very chocolaty Imran Khan in a negative role, and two, it has made Miss Goody Two Shoes Minissha Lamba do the unthinkable – wear a bikini. Caught in a candid mood, Minissha talks about the film.

"Kidnap is the story of a girl who has never seen her father but when she gets kidnapped her father shows up. It is Imran Khan who kidnaps the girl and then the whole story starts shaping up. There begins the father's struggle to get his daughter back. I can't reveal the story of the film further but there is a lot to watch out for," she says.

After being featured as one of the three lucky girls in Yash Raj's Bachna Ae Haseeno, Minissha is all set to compete with Priyanka Chopra. Well, they are not doing a film together but the two are going to fight it out for the 'hot bod' title with both gals ready to flaunt some itsy bitsy attire in their forthcoming films. While Priyanka is going to show off her beach wear in Dostana, Minnisha dares to don some cool bikinis in Kidnap. "I am absolutely comfortable wearing a bikini and wouldn't mind wearing it again. I think every woman looks extremely beautiful and attractive in a bikini. But I was a little worried about my body," admits Minissha talking about her experience with the two-piece.

The chubby actress, who after the release of Bachna Ae Haseeno said that it was great working with Ranbir, now seems to be rather confused between him and her new co-star Imran. When asked to pick the better of the two, she says, "Well, I can't decide who's better between Imran and Ranbir. Imran is very cute and so is Ranbir."

While romance for Minnisha has been sizzling hot on screen right from her first film Yahaan, but in real life she has no time for love. She seems to be working day in day out. "I am not the romantic girl like my character in Bachna Ae Haseeno. I can't afford to be romantic in real life because I work round the clock," she says.

Minissha Lamba proud to don a Bikini in Kidnap

Minissha Lamba is going through a massive image makeover these days. In her soon to be released Kidnap, she would be seen in a bikini which certainly comes as a surprise to her admirers.

By wearing a bikini for Kidnap, Minissha now joins the gang of young women who have willingly agreed to get into the costume for a Sanjay Gadhvi film. After Esha Deol (Dhoom) and Bipasha Basu (Dhoom 2), she is the new bikini girl for Gadhvi.

Talking about her decision to join the bikini bandwagon, Minissha admits, "Yes, I have joined the bikini bandwagon. After all, not many girls are doing it even today, isn't it? In any case when you see Kidnap, you would realize that the makeover isn't for the sake of it. This was meant to be a part of the character and I was duly convinced that donning a bikini was indeed an integral part of the script."

The industry experts and cine-goers are definitely noticing this makeover. "We are not grown up in a conservative household and together, we watch a lot of Hollywood films. Something like a bikini is hardly a culture shock since as a family, we are quite modern in our outlook and very progressive. In any case, everyone today understands that at the end of the day, it is just a part that you are playing for a film. The buck stops there."- reacts Miss Lamba.

"And I am so very proud of that. When Sanjay told me that I had to go through this image change in Kidnap, I was game for it. I feel it was great to explore a new side of me.”- Minissha explains further.

Minisha dons a bikini in Kidnap

Actor Minnisha Lamba is all set to show off her sexy body in Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap . The girl wears a – ooh la la – white bikini and has quite a few water scenes! Apparently, the girl lost oodles of baby fat for her role. And is looking quite stunning.

The real fun however will begin when we hear of some bikini bickering from fellow contemporaries, and how Minni will handle the deep end of her 'shallow act'. But as of the moment, the girl is making 'waves', so let's not waive her off just yet.

It's interesting to note that Gadhvi has made many-a-voluptuous woman discard their tassles and emerge in the sexiest of outfits. In Dhoom , Esha Deol was applauded for her makeover, In Dhoom 2 , Ash was at her oomphiest best. And now, we have the simple Minnisha Lamba going the extra mile in Kidnap .

When we got in touch with Gadhvi, he didn't wish to say more but insisted that the character was a teenager who carried a bikini in the glove box of her car. So why not? Sure Sanjay, even we aren't complaining!
