Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tie the knot

Socialite Nicole Richie and her long time partner ‘Good Charlotte’ rocker Joel Madden have got married.

The couple - who celebrated the birth of their second child, son Sparrow, last month - are rumoured to have secretly tied the knot in an intimate service on Wednesday after obtaining a marriage licence last week.

The news comes after it was revealed Richie was keen to wed the Good Charlotte rocker following the death of her ex-fiance DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, in August.

"Nicole has never been in a rush to get married to Joel. She’s so happy with him and their little family that she didn’t feel the need to change the way things were between them," reveals a source.

"But when Adam died, she freaked out. She realised life is fragile and short. She doesn’t want to have any regrets at all, and she does want to be Joel’s wife”.

Nicole Richie to start clothing line for pregnant women

Soon to be Mum, Nicole Richie is all set to launch her own line of maternity wear.

Nicole is expecting her second child with rocker boyfriend Joel Madden and is set to expand her fashion empire with the inspiration from her own growing family. Nicole expects to will start her own clothing range for all the fellow women who are expecting. Her collection is expected to include pregnancy clothes, maternity bras, belts, shoes, etc.

Nicole owns a successful jewellery collection. And now the lady has joined hands with clothing label ‘A Pea in the Pod’ to create and model the designs. ‘Pea in the Pod’ is a known company for pregnant women who carry great lines.

"When you’re pregnant, you really feel like you have to change your whole wardrobe. And that’s the last thing a woman wants to go through. So I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes. I think the pregnant body is beautiful, and I think you should show it off," said Nicole.

Nicole Richie launches cool mums-to-be clothes

Nicole Richie is set and ready with her new range of clothes for mums-to-be. It will be an extension to her House of Harlow brand that already deals in jewellery.


The ‘Simple Life’ star would team up with A Pea in the Pod to design chic clothes for pregnant women. She had named her brand after her daughter’s name Harlow who was born in January 2008.
Richie is also expecting her second baby with Good Charlotte front man Joel Madden.
