Asin injured while saving a Kid

Asin’s career has taken an upward turn but the golden heart girl dosent let success get into her head. The Southern beauty proved that behind the beautiful and elegant looks, lies a noble heart, too.

Asin was passing by in her car when star saw a kid about to come in the way of speeding cars. She jumped and managed to shave the life of the boy. But in doing so, she fell on the road and got her hands injured. Having done her good-deed, she sped off.

Next morning Asin woke up with swollen and painful hands. She was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where the doctors diagnosed torn ligaments in both her hands.

“I woke up in the most acute pain. I couldn`t move either of my hands, not even to brush my teeth! They had gone numb. My biceps and triceps got affected and my hands had swollen to the sizes of balloons,” Asin said with a terrified laugh.

Asked whether the kid’s parents got in touch with her, she said, “Maybe they didn`t know who I was. But I didn`t do it to be thanked. I did what came naturally to me.”

Kudos to the brave actor!

A R Rahman escapes death

A R Rahman’s double Oscar is the talk of the movement. But none know that he just escaped death during the rehearsals for his stage performance for the Oscars.

This close encounter with death was revealed by Rahman after he returned to India on Thursday and blurted out the truth innocently. The accident could have proved fatal and could have ended A R Rahman’s Life.

“I really don’t know what happened. Two days before the Oscars we were rehearsing at one of the theatres for the Oscars, when a massive chandelier covering portion of the ceiling crashed to the spot just a split-second after I moved away,” recalls Rahman.

It seems as if god’s blessing has saved Rahman else he would have been history.

Ash gets bolder in Pink Panther 2 to take on Brad Pitt!

Aishwarya rai has been in talks lately coz her latest hollywood fick - Pink Panther. The actress is seen sporting a hot and sensuous look as she is all set share space with Steve Martin. It is has been a while since but now all set to show her bolder side.

It has been said that Aish plays just cameo in the film, but the fact is not so. She does not play a blink and miss role in the film but is a criminology expert in the film and has quite a bit to do. She also actually plays a seductress in the film who deceives Steve using her beauty and charm.

Ash’s international film Pink Panther 2 hits Indian Screens on 27th of February. Pink Panther 2 will compete in India with the other Oscar winning film namely - The Curious case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt which is also slated to release on the same day.

Oscars results leaked online

The results of 81st Academy Awards, which are to be officially announced this weekend on February 22, have reportedly been leaked online. If the reports are true then Danny Boyle’s award winning ‘Slumdog Millionare’ that has been nominated in 11 categories has won the two prestigious-Best director and Best Film Awards.

The list of this year’s Oscar winners has been published in a document on the net.The document looks genuine and has apparently been scanned in. It also has an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences letterhead and with the signature of Academy`s president, Sid Ganis.

According to the list, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ has been named the best film and its director Danny Boyle has won the best director award. Kate Winslet has won best actress Oscar for ‘The Reader’ and Mickey Rourke has bagged best actor award for ‘The Wrestler’. Heath Ledger has been named best supporting actor for ‘The Dark Knight’ and Amy Adams has won best supporting actress award for ‘Doubt’.

However, an Academy Awards representative has clarified that the list is a ‘complete fraud’ and has justified that the vote counting process is still on.

Deepika Padukone - Face of Mallya’s F1 Team

Industrialist Vijay Mallya, chairman of Force India Formula Team, has roped in actress Deepika Padukone to be the face of his team. Deepika unveiled MTV-Force India’s The Fast and the Gorgeous hunt for the ’speed divas’. Four ’speed divas’ will be chosen from 20 contestants.

Deepika said, if she could manage time from her busy schedule, she would love to be one of the team’s ’speed divas’ and travel around the world for the Formula One Grand Prix event 2009.

When asked what is common between badminton and car racing, she said: “Speed”. Deepika, She is a daughter of badminton champion Prakash Padukone and loves sports.

Force India Formula One Team’s maiden performance on the international race track last year was not up to the mark. But the team managed to be qualify to take part in Formula One Grand Prix. The Grand Prix event starts from Barcelona onwards could be the real test for all the teams.

Mallya, who took the initiative to put India on the international car racing track, said he will be a proud man when Force India Formula One Team will host the first Indian Grand Prix in 2011.

SRK promotes Billo Barber in a unique way

The rivalry between the Khans continues. Aamir Khan had become a barber promote his film Ghajini with his unique hair cut but the King Khan has gone a step further. He has planned to invite about 400 barbers with their families, for the promotion of his upcoming film Billu Barber.

Director Priyadarshan confirmed it. He said,“Instead of having celebs over for the premiere of Billu Barber, Shah Rukh has planned to invite 400 barbers and their families to the premiere.”

Red Chillies’ Billu Barber is about two childhood friends, one a poor village barber, played by Irrfan Khan and a superstar played by Shah Rukh and the equation between these friends from diverse backgrounds.

Well lets hope that this promotion policy works for SRK.

She played a Chinese girl in Chandni Chowk To China , and though the movie didnot do well, Deepika Padukone is the latest trend caught the fancy of young girls.

Well, this fringe hair-do became a rage in 1960s when actress Sadhna sported this hair-cut. In 1980s fringes was style statement for charming actress Neelam. Stylist Malllika Bhat, who gave Deepika the tweaked Chinese look, says, “Sporting a fringe will be the coolest thing of this year as the style is back in vogue. Fringe hides your age and makes you look younger.”

This modern-chic style is getting popular amongst trendy urban class girls. But any girl should be careful while trying fringes because it can turn out to be a fashion-disaster, as it doesn’t suit every beautiful face.

Mudassar Aziz wants to marry Sushmita Sen

Mudassar Aziz wants to take his relationship with Sushmita Sen to the next level. It is heard that the director proposed Sushmita for marriage recently. Sushmita too is very fond of Mudassar. However, she has chosen to be non-commital on the marriage front.

Mudassar wanted to formalise his relationship with Sushmita. Mudassar was initially in awe of Sushmita, which turned into fondness and gradually the two hit it off very well. Mudassar had confided in close friends that if it was in his hands he would make all his films with Sushmita playing the lead. Even the script that Mudassar is penning down currently is being written keeping Sushmita in mind.

Shilpa goes blad and enjoys it too

It was in the air that shilpa was in the process to shave off her head hairs. She was all set to sacrifice her mane. But she was stopped from doing so by a cosmetic company which had ad contracts with her. And finally Shilpa to change her plans.

"I'd have loved to shave off my hair. But my other commitments put an end to my plans. The bald prosthetics were done by an amazing makeup artiste named Vidyadhar. It took him three hours to make me look bald. And after I finished shooting it took an hour to take off the bald makeup." Says Shilpa,

Shilpa insisted on doing all the bald scenes in one day. "Being hairless makes you look so vulnerable and childlike. I felt I had gone back to my childhood," She added.

Shilpa regrets not going the whole hog "Seeing myself in bald prosthetics liberated me. I wish I could've actually shaved of my hair. When Aamir Khan tonsures his head and it becomes a fashion statement. But we girls have to go by the market definitions of glamour." She says.

Amul takes advantage of Aamir's Ghajini

One may remember that 2008 happened to be one of the 'impactful' years for Bollywood. It saw the transformation of the chocolate hero Aamir into a muscular 'dude with an attitude' in the smash hit film Ghajini.

It is needless to say that the Ghajini mania is spreading far and wide. And for those who thought that it was only the media that worked faster than the speed of light, then, one must better think again, because there's someone who works even faster than the proverbial speed.

And that's none other than the super brilliant guys at Amul, who wasted no time in bringing out their latest ad campaign that has Aamir Khan's cartoon in his 8-packs with scribbling on his hands and body which read as 'I slice bread'', ' I make sandwich', while his chest reads 'Get Amul'.

It is indeed an interesting ad. But the guys at Amul should also remember that one may forget to breathe for a moment, but how can one forget Amul.

Comparisom beetween Me and Priyanka is Pointless - Deepika Padukone

Deepika is as witty as ever. She has been shooting with akshay of late. And she has now just taken a break to visit her family. These were just some of the musings doing the rounds at a recent event where Deepika Padukone was in attendance for a brand endorsement. She was of late compared with Priyanka Chopra. She simply did not agree to it .

“I am different... Don’t compare me with Priyanka Chopra just because she’s done stunts in Drona and I’ve done action sequences in Chandni Chowk to China. Each person is unique and so am I. I worked hard for six months to learn those stunts and was specially trained by experts from Hong Kong.” Says Deepika.

“Akshay is such a fantastic guy and has so many years of experience. I learnt so much from him. I’m glad I’ve got to work with him so early in my career.” She adds.

John Abraham has been adjudged the sexiest Asian man in the world in 2008. In the annual round conducted by Eastern Eye, a leading British Asian weekly, Abraham emerged the top in a shortlist of 10.

The weekly sent judges a shortlist of 10 names. The judges included Brianna Ragel, editor of Asian Woman Magazine, Che Kurrien, editor of GQ India and the former editor of FHM India, Farhad Dadyburjor. They ranked the names according to their individual preferences and the newspaper then compiled the results to produce a final list.

2007's top guy actor Shah Rukh Khan stood at third place after Hrithik Roshan in second place. Abraham was at third place last year. Britons on this year's list include Upen Patel (five), Jay Sean (nine) and boxer Amir Khan (ten). Newcomers to the 2008 list include TV presenter Rav Wilding who ranked 20, actors Harman Baweja ranked 22 and Stephen Uppal 21.

Celina's B'day turns Bad

Celina 27th birthday on Monday started off with an illness in the family. Her puppy Gooblee was unwell the whole day. My parents left Mumbai and my dog didn't take well to their absence. So she swallowed plastic. The entire day before my birthday the vet was trying to pull the plastic out of his throat. Not a very pleasant way to bring in my birthday."

However, Celina is getting herself a BMW to cheer herself up this birthday. She prefers diamonds, but she needs a posh car to get to the jewellery store. So a BMW.

"It's a rather happy place to be in. Unfortunately, none of my family members are really in Mumbai to celebrate my birthday with me. And to me that's not a very happy birthday for Me." says Celina. She spent the day with destitute girls whom she sponsors. Celina describes herself as unlucky in love. "So maybe for my 27th birthday God will grant me romantic love. About time I got lucky in love."She says.

Rahul Mahajan denies having affair with Monica Bedi

Bigg Boss housemate Rahul Mahajan willingly went out of the Bigg Boss house after taking the responsibility of breaking the rules of running out of the house with other mates. During his stay in the Bigg Boss house, he added spice to the show by romancing Monica Bedi .

In the presence of 34 cameras, Rahul run around Monica, expressed his love for her and even proposed marriage. Actress and former beauty queen Priyanka Chopra is at a high point in her career. After the spectacular success of Fashion, she has high hopes for Dharma production’s Dostana co-starring John Abraham, and Abhishek Bachchan.

Her personal life is however not firm and she is yet to settle with anyone romantically. But recently she confirmed that she will marry within two years time. “Man proposes, God disposes. I’m still not mentally prepared for it. But yes, I will, of course, marry someone in the next two years. I have time on my hands as I’m still quite young.” said Priyanka.

Shipla seen in a Theatre with Her Beau Kundra

Of late Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion' has been the talk of the time . At least it did appeal to Shilpa Shetty and her current Boy friend. And so she decided to drop security measures and reach a city multiplex to watch the movie. She was looking as hot as ever in her regular blue jeans and shirt and looked happy. She was accompanied by boyfriend Raj Kundra, her sister Shamita Shetty and her mom.

Shilpa has been refusing to talk to the media about Raj Kundra. But this act certainly shows that she is now keen to go public with it. It is also assumed that Raj is very much a son to Shilpa's mother and he usually stays with them when he is in India.

Bachchan-Kapoor Rivalry Continues

Some time back, it was said that Abhishek Bachchan extended an olive branch to his first co-star, Kareena Kapoor, after the two families went separate ways due to personal reasons. It was also heard that Abhishek and Kareena are likely to star in a movie together.

"Well, the make up decision cannot be taken individually. This one's quite complicated, since the two families are involved now. There's no truth to the news-report about our teaming together. There's no project on the cards either," says Kareena .

Infact she feel offended when Priyanka Chopra stepped in her shoes after Abhishek expressed uneasiness while the casting of DOSTANA was underway. It was also heard that she had problems with John too. but she denies it. "There's no panga with John actually," she says.

Rimi Sen sent legal notice to the movie makers of Horn Ok Please

The film “Horn Ok Pleassss” has again fallen into controversies. Earlier, Tanushree Dutta had a fight with the choreographer of the film and the lead actor Nana Patekar of the movie. Tanu was replaced by Rakhi Sawant for an item dance number . And now lead actress Rimi Sen also sent a legal notice to the movie makers.

Rimi informed that she had many problems with the producers who were not willing to pay the remuneration and the movie is also getting delayed. She was also not visible in the promotional events of the film and she is also not getting well with the producer Abdol Sami Sidiqqui.

Being the part of the film was a bad experience, though I admit that I had no problems with lead actor Nana Patekar and Muzammil Ibrahim. I was also comfortable with choreographer Johny Lala of the film but other wise the unit members were not easy to work with." Said Rimi.

Initially the producer promised that he will pay back Rimi’s money on release date , that was October 17th, but now he has delayed the movie release and is not paying Rimi’s money. So Rimi Sen has send legal notice to “Horn Ok Please"

Minissha Lamba was recently spotted stepping out of a Bandra nightclub with a mystery man. She has been spotted with the same man many a times of late.

Although Minissha had admitted in a recent interview that there is a man in her life, but she didnot reveal his name or oter details. However, it is heard that Minissha is dating a Kashmir-based businessman named Sohail. They first met at a party and have been dating each other for the past three months. They seem very serious about each other.
