Eva Longoria shocked from Americans

Hollywood Actress Eva Longoria has said that she is shocked by the vile reaction to immigrants by some Americans.

“The immigration issue is interesting because historically everyone has immigrated, this is a country of immigrants,” Fox News quoted her as telling at Padres Contra El Cancer’s 9th Annual Fund Raising Gala in Hollywood.

“So it kind of shocks me that people have such a vile reaction to immigrants when they provide a huge amount of services to our country, and particularly in agriculture,” she added.

The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star hopes there is a relook into immigration law in America.

Eva, who is also the spokesperson for the charity, said she "would really love to see immigration reform obviously transpire, but in a way that is obviously fair to people in the country."

However, she insists that the current issue is the health reforms.

She added: "One topic at a time, Obama can tackle the health care issue, and I completely support him on what he is doing currently, with his options that he wants to provide, and ... how he wants to fund it."

Abhishek dumps Aishwarya for Parker

Two of the most glamorous women in the world, Aishwarya Rai and Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives bonded well at the 62nd Cannes film festival where they walked the red carpet as representatives of L'Oreal.

If this was not enough, Abhishek Bachchan too had a ball with Eva's husband, popular basketball player, Tony Parker.

Tony and Abhishek got on like house on fire at their first meeting.

Abhishek has been a basketball player in school and is a huge NBA fan too.

So when he met NBA player Tony, Abhishek's joy knew no bounds.

All they did was talk about basketball leaving the pretty women dumbfounded.

Aish Finds Company of Desperate Housewives

Aishwarya smiles at the memory of bonding with Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives). “We bonded so well at Cannes. No one would believe we had just met. Actually, Eva, Rachida Brakni (who did the original French version of Chaos which Ash was supposed to do) and I got married recently. So we bonded over that common element,” says Aishwarya.

She then talks excitedly about another memorable moment at Cannes. “Jean Reno, the wonderful French actor, came up to me and said he has heard good things about my film, Pink Panther. These legendary actors are so hassle-free! They don't think twice about approaching you with a smile and kind words. That stays with you and is easier than making an effort to avoid people,” she says.

Aishwarya tells us about the films she saw at Cannes. She says excitedly, “I caught three-and-a-half films, including the opening movie Blindness, and the new Indiana Jones film. I could only catch half of Kung Fu Panda because I had to do some press interviews. I also saw the new Woody Allen film, Vicky Christina Barcelona. And yes, I met Woody Allen, he's wonderful!”

On her stunning sartorial grace on the red carpet, Aishwarya says, “This time around, I guess I had more time to prepare.”

While Aishwarya understands that people check out her clothes and accessories at important events, what she can't understand is why the clothes she wears at Cannes become more important than what she does at the annual event.

An exhausted and jet-lagged, Aishwarya laughs and says, “I don't even want to think about what people thought of my clothes. To me, how I conduct myself at Cannes and how people react to me is far more important than what I wear. Cannes has always been a marvelous and memorable experience. And this time too, it was no different!”

Celebrities during International film festival at Cannes

For the premiere of “Kung Fu Panda”, during the 61st edition of International film festival in Cannes, France on May 15th, the well known celebrities made their presence felt.
