Asin gives a royal snub to Shah Rukh Khan

While most of the B-town ladies go through their entire careers wishing to star opposite the three Khans, Asin has put aside the rare opportunity for reasons not known.

The lissome beauty whose blockbuster ‘Ghajini’ debut opposite Aamir Khan is followed by ‘London Dreams’ with Salman had been offered a chance to act with Shah Rukh- a glorious prospect that she chose to snub.

The southern bombshell, who has been making waves ever since her smash-hit debut, was reportedly very keen to work with SRK. So much was the stunner in awe of SRK that she had also expressed her desire to share the screen with him on Farah’s chat show.

Flattered by Asin’s adoration for SRK, Farah had approached the actress for a role opposite King Khan in ‘Happy New Year’. And though the actress mulled over the role for quite some time, she refused Farah’s offer on unknown grounds.

Confirming the story a source said, “Ever since Asin appeared on Farah’s show ‘Tere Mere Beach Mein’, they have been in touch. When Farah offered her the role, initially Asin was quite excited. It is not known why she refused Farah’s film”.

Rejecting Farah’s offer, the actress cited date problem as the reason for her refusal. “She conveyed that the dates which Farah needed would be clashing with her other assignments,” adds the source.

Nevertheless when King Khan is involved there can never be a shortage of leading ladies. As of now Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor are fighting neck to neck for the part.

Asin to receive highest civilian honour by Tamil Nadu government

After making a sensational Bollywood debut with Ghajini last year, Asin's career has been only going higher and higher. While her act in Ghajini fetched her the 'Best Debutant Award' at all the major award functions, Asin is all set to add yet another feather to her already impressive cap.

Asin would be receiving the Kalaimamani award which is the highest civilian honour given by the Tamil Nadu government. This will also be Asin's 150th award of her career and given the fact the she is so young it is indeed an incredible achievement. The award will be presented to her by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Asin gets stalked in Singapore

Earlier it was Katrina Kaif, and now it seems the turn of Southern belle Asin to get stalked by another star stuck fan. A stalker breached Asin’s security cover in order to meet the star at her recent Singapore trip. It is said that the star crazy fan clandestinely clicked her pictures and followed her wherever she went.

The stalker, believed to be in mid-20s followed Asin during her trip until he was discovered at the hotel where the Bollywood newbie was staying. News has it that the stalker wanted to talk with Asin, while ignoring her security guards.

A close friend of Asin said, “Before she could react, he started taking her pictures. Suddenly, he started behaving even more strangely. He pretended he was her bodyguard and stopped people from going near her.”

The stalker successfully managed to dupe the security guards at the hotel and managed to reach the dining room where the actress was enjoying a quiet meal. “He told the guards that he had come from Indore and wanted to talk to her at any cost. He tried every trick in the book to convince them and succeeded,” Asin’s friend added.

Well, the story does not end here as the stalker followed her at a shopping mall too which led a panic stricken Asin take an early morning flight to Mumbai. The friend maintained, “She feared that he would be waiting outside the airport, but luckily this time, he wasn’t around.”

Salman kept away from Asin-Ajay Devgan

While shooting for London Dreams, Salman Khan stayed at the Governor House, a very up market hotel in Central London.The rest of the cast and crew including Asin, Ajay Devgan and director Vipul Shah were staying at St James Court. So at the end of the day, while Asin and Ajay Devgan were spening good time chilling and chatting together Salman Khan would be all by himself.

So Salman Khan started complaining to Vipul Shah about being lonely and wanted to shift with the rest of the gang in St James Court. Vipul Shah was only happy to oblige and so Salman to shifted at St James Court.

Finally it was a happy reunion in true-blue Bollywood style.

London Dreams to see Eiffel Tower in Blue

Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan's London Dreams will feature a sequence showing the world famous Eiffel tower in blue. Vipul Shah took special permissions to shoot at the famous tourist site. London Dreams also stars Asin. It is the story of rival musicians. The movie has music by AR Rahman.

The blue Eiffel tower marks the start of France's six-month presidency in the European Union. Lighting up the Eiffel Tower in blue with yellow stars symbolizes the EU flag. The tower's standard night time lighting since New Year's Eve in 1985 has been orange-gold but for the first time it turned blue with yellow stars.

Asin gets International Award for Dasavathaaram

She is one of the the biggest sensation of south and her Bollywood debut in Ghajini has gone down in history as one of the biggest and most successful films ever. She is none other than Asin.

She has been in news of late for all the right reasons. And now she has received another recognition .Her latest achievement is that she is been awarded the Best Actress award for her role in Kamal Haasan's Tamil film Dasavathaaram by the Singapore-based International Tamil Film Awards.

The ITFA, which recognizes the contribution of film personalities and actors towards Tamil cinema on an international scale, will present the award to her at a ceremony which will be held on May 16 in Singapore.

Katrina unsure of Salman-Asin recent development

Bollywood’s eternal bad boy Salman Khan is sharing not only the stage but also some very good time with the gorgeous Asin. They are to be seen together in Vipul Shah’s directorial venture- London Dreams and it is reported that they are getting really close and friendly. It is also heard that Asin’s bedroom has pictures of Sallu all overwhich proves that she is really fond of him.

Salman and Asin have become extremely close to each other and Salman is extra protective about her. Both of them spent quite some time cooing on and off the sets in London and Chandigarh. There is also news that apparently the house in which Asin currently resides at Lokhandwala has also been gifted to her by Salman. He had earlier gifted girlfriend Katrina a house.

This closeness between the duo is raising a few eyes in bollywood and Katrina is really concerned about the new development in the relation between his beau Salman and the upcoming beauty-Asin. She recently paid a visit to Chandigarh to keep tabs on Salman’s closeness with Asin. So is this a beginning of another torrent controversy surrounding the actor’s love life or Salman just friends with Asin

Asin injured while saving a Kid

Asin’s career has taken an upward turn but the golden heart girl dosent let success get into her head. The Southern beauty proved that behind the beautiful and elegant looks, lies a noble heart, too.

Asin was passing by in her car when star saw a kid about to come in the way of speeding cars. She jumped and managed to shave the life of the boy. But in doing so, she fell on the road and got her hands injured. Having done her good-deed, she sped off.

Next morning Asin woke up with swollen and painful hands. She was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where the doctors diagnosed torn ligaments in both her hands.

“I woke up in the most acute pain. I couldn`t move either of my hands, not even to brush my teeth! They had gone numb. My biceps and triceps got affected and my hands had swollen to the sizes of balloons,” Asin said with a terrified laugh.

Asked whether the kid’s parents got in touch with her, she said, “Maybe they didn`t know who I was. But I didn`t do it to be thanked. I did what came naturally to me.”

Asin in a dual role in Dasavatharam

After Ghajini, Asin is to be seen in Dasavatharam which releases next Friday. Though the Tamil version was released worldwide in June last year, the dubbed Hindi version will release after a gap of nearly a year.

Asin has a double role to play in the film. In the film, Asin plays the characters of Kothai Radha and Andaal, opposite Kamal Hassan from the 12th and 21st century respectively. Incidentally, in both the roles, she plays a Brahmin woman. Kamal Hassan the protagonist plays as many as ten different roles in the film. The movie also ha another female lead who happens to be Mallika Sherawat.

Asin walked into a role which was originally meant for Vidya Balan as Vidya did not have the due dates.

After its release, Dasavatharam ( the Tamil Version ) became one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Tamil cinema by breaking records across the globe.

Well, it is good news for Asin fans that were left asking for more ever since she made her Bollywood debut - Ghajini last year. Now with Asin being seen in a double role in Dasavatharam, it should only be double the excitement for the audience.

Asin to romance Shah Rukh Khan

Ghajini Girl Asin seems to be the apple of everyone’s eyes. The Khan trio are vying with each other to rope in Asin for their respective projects. After Aamir and Salman, it is Shah Rukh Khan, who seems to be interested in the Southern beauty. After having been chosen recently as the brand ambassador for Fairever, the famous fairness cream, Asin, the southern sensation has now been roped in by the retail major Future Group to endorse Big Bazaar.

Although the official announcements are yet to be made about this deal, sources claim that she will be sharing the spotlight with Indian cricket captain, M S Dhoni in the commercials that are yet to be shot.
