Salman has started of making his alternate career plans loud and clear. The actor is just passing the right ‘gyan’ urging people to vote. What’s more is that the actor is trying his best gain public sympathy.Aiming to form an immediate connect, Salman is using his wild card stating he is a common man.

“I may be a film-star but my thinking and lifestyle is very basic. I understand the public’s needs; I empathise with their problems because I have been through them myself. I am very much one of them. I feel it’s important for a politician to be there and feel the pulse of the common man before making lofty promises,” Salman said.

Anil Kapoor to produce Sanjay Dutt

The rivalry between arch-enemies Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor just came to an end. The rivalry ended as Anil decided to produce and star Sanjay in his next Film. And it isn't just Anees Bazmee's comedy No Problem but an international project that Anil is producing.
It is a huge project that AK plans to produce featuring the two actors. Sanjay Dutt spent a good hour at the Kapoors' residence. He was impressed by the proposal and finally agreed to the fact that an international project featuring the two actors was just what the global market demanded.
It was not just a single international project that Anil wanted Sanjay to sign but also formally wanted Sanjay for his home production No Problem. He gave Sanjay a signing amount of Rs. 1 crore which Sanjay refused to take as Anil was his dear friend. But Anil insisted.

“I let you get away with working free for me when you did the item song in my production Short Cut. But now you're a full-fledged actor in No Problem. Let's be professional about money matters at least,” said Anil.

Sanjay declined at least 5-6 times and then relented.

The Kapoor-Dutt international project could happen by the end of this year.

Sanjay Dutt political dreams crashed

Sanjay Dutt’s dreams of competing in the elections were shattered on Tuesday when the Supreme Court ruled that he cannot contest for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
The court rejected Sanjay Dutt’s plea for suspension of his conviction in a criminal case to enable him to fight the General Elections.

A day before, a panel of judges which included Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan, Justice P Sathasivam and Justice RM Lodha had not disclosed the verdict amid strong opposition from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and various civil society groups.

Sanjay Dutt, sentenced to six years in jail by a Mumbai anti-terror court moved the court early this month as it was said to be similar to cricketer-turned-BJP parliamentarian Navjot Singh Sidhu, whose conviction in a case of unintentional killing was stayed by the apex court in 2007 to enable him contest elections.

However, the SC ruled that Sidhu’s case was an exceptional one and should not be taken as example. As per electoral laws, a person convicted for a criminal offence and sentenced to jail for more than two years is barred from running for elections.

Sanjay Dutt to celebrate Wedding Anniversary in Kashmir

Sanjay Dutt who has lately been out of the country holidaying with his wife in New Zealand heads for Kashmir to shoot for Rahul Dholakia's Lamhaa under the heaviest 'bandobast' ever provided to any Indian actor for shooting in any part of the world.

Producer Bunty Walia was under serious discussions with every security channel in Kashmir to ensure full safety for the cast and crew, especially Dutt's, as his presence in J&K is seen as potentially more volatile since he has a massive fan base in the Valley.

That's not the only danger posed to Dutt's security. With his enormously controversial past record including several communal issues, it is felt by many of Dutt's well-wishers that it'd be foolhardy for the actor to be physically present in the extremist-hit Valley.

While the superstar makes light of the security issues, his CEO Dharam Oberoi is more candid in his concern. "It's somewhat dangerous for Baba. More so since he never goes with his personal security anywhere. Baba feels very embarrassed about bouncers following him everywhere. But Bunty Walia has left no stone unturned to secure the 80-unit member's security, especially Sanju Baba and Bipasha Basu's security. CRPF jawans, the army and the J&K police have all been deployed to protect the Lamhaa unit from any kind of violence."

But the best security measure to prevent any blast has been saved for the last. Jammers have been installed all around the hotel and the area where Sanjay Dutt and the crew will be shooting. These devices detonate bombs automatically when detected.

The impressive security 'bandobast' has convinced Dutt that it's not only safe enough to shoot for Lamhaa but also bring in his first marriage anniversary on 19 November in Kashmir.

In Srinagar, overlooking the Dal Lake is the Oberoi Towers where the unit of Lamhaa will be staying. Mrs Sanjay Dutt is expected to join her husband at this spot of jannat for their wedding anniversary on 19 November.

Sanjay is now at par with Bollwood A-list actors

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has signed 28 new projects and has more than doubled his fee to Rs.15 crores per film. Earlier the Munnabhai star used to get Rs.60-70 million.

Even at his new price Sanjay is now booked till the end of 2010 for 28 assignments, so much so that director Rohit Jugraj will be able to start his bio-pic with the actor only in 2011. The new rate is thanks to good friend and colleague Suniel Shetty, who generously hiked Sanjay's price when he signed on the actor for a multi-film deal for his production house Popcorn Entertainment.

Sanjay is now at par with Bollwood A-list actors. While Shah Rukh Khan is getting Rs.150 million plus percentage of profits of a film, Aamir Khan has received Rs.200 million for 'Ghajini' and Akshay Kumar has been signed by the production house Venus for Rs.120 million.

Having completed 'EMI' with Suniel, Sanjay has now signed another big project with his company that will feature the two actors as warring heroes locked in a dramatic conflict. The big-budget Sanjay-Suniel action drama is to go on the floors soon, all thanks to Sanjay who magically accommodated the new assignment into his schedule even if it meant working a little harder.

The case of Missing Smooch beetween Sanjay and Vidya.

Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap, featured a hot kiss between Sanjay Dutt and Vidya Malvade. People who saw the preview of the film held that it was a fairly long kiss, But the kiss was edited out in the final version of the film.

After the hot skin show in the film via Minissha Lamba and her miniscule wardrobe One expects Gadhvi would have persisted with the kiss. According to the man himself, the scene was cut from the film, a day before its release as it was not felt to be out of place. It is believed that the kiss was edited out of the film on Maanyata Dutt's request. She is believed to have objected to kissing scene between Sanju and Vidya.

Apparently, everybody who saw the film's preview shows were of the opinion that it did not make any sense and should be chopped off. Thus it came about that the three minute scene was cut from the movie. However, the DVD version of the movie will feature the kiss.

Kidnap is all About High Risks Manoeuvres of the Kidnapper

Kidnap is a high level drama which unveils the story with each opening scene, step by step. It is basically the story of the fight between Imran Khan (an orphan), who wants to take revenge from Sanjay Dutt (an affluent New York-based Indian businessman, who does not see beyond money). Though a kind hearted father and a loving husband, he is too proud and unable to disclose his love to his wife Vidya Malvade. Minissha Lamba is the daughter of Sanjay and Vidya.
Vidya opts for a divorce on the pretext that Sanjay does not care for their well-being and is a shrewd businessman who only loves to count money by every second increase in it. Vidya is a strict mother and she does not like or want her daughter Minissha to continue any kind of relationship with her father. Vidya has been portrayed as a strict but care taking and loving mother who believes in restricting her daughter's movements. Despite her attempt to make her understand the dangers of being out of the house during late hours at night, Minissha refuses to budge and in a fit of rage she goes out one evening.

The film depicts how the family members are torn apart by turbulent misunderstanding. Minissha leaves the house and takes a plunge in the river to cool her anger but to her dismay she is kidnapped by Imran.

Imran wants this rich and stubborn businessman Sanjay realise how important the word 'sorry' is in his life that he wanted to tell him at the age of 14 but was not allowed at that point of time because of which his life gets topsy-turvy.

Innocent and poor people are always unheard. It is only the verdict of the rich that reigns higher. Sanjay misinterprets the actions of the 14-year-old boy and is adamant in getting him behind the bars – that's the backdrop of the revenge drama.

The direction of Sanjay Gadhvi keeps you zapped with head scratching inquisitiveness. Having cast prolific actors in the movie, Gadhvi definitely expected a good job out of them. And one has to confess, the contemporary cinema-goer will positively like their performances. Imran Khan especially who has not disappointed in this new avatar in his very second film.

Sanjay Dutt's macho man entry in his very first scene is not only breathtaking but his soft heartedness towards his daughter and accepting the tasks rendered to him by the kidnapper (Imran) undoubtedly identifies with him in real life. Needless to say that he is brilliant as always. Minissha Lamba fails to ignite any fire despite her skimpily clad attire. Vidya looks too young as Minissha's mother, but her modern dresses are quite refreshing so is her performance.

All in all, Kidnap solely survives on the high risks manoeuvres of the kidnapper. The film's commercial value is kept intact. Music score is seemingly mediocre, nothing special there. The dialogues are simple, and the incidents are more like a plethora of tales with ample amount of teachings. Cinematography is superb but the editing left a lot to be desired. Probably the length of the film remains a matter to be debated. Also, the film seems to be dragging a bit in the first half. Nevertheless, it is worth a one-time watch.

Sanju Baba-The New Playboy Of Bollywood

While Sanjay Dutt has almost patented the art of playing a gangster in dozens of films, he has hardly played the part of a playboy in any of his films. However, his next film release would change it all for him as he would be seen as a rich business tycoon who possesses all the luxuries in the life.
The film is Afzal Khan's MEHBOOBA and Sanju plays the character of Shravan Dhariwal. Playing the role of the most eligible bachelor who leads an envious lifestyle, he loves being in the company of beautiful and desirable women and makes sure that his charm and money get him all that he desires.

One such woman who comes in Sanju's life in MEHBOOBA is Varsha [Manisha Koirala] who refuses to cave in despite all richies presented to her on a platter. Though Sanju ultimately manages to woo her, he has a sinister plan in place which threatens to shatter Manisha's life forever.

What exactly is the playboy's plan here.....?

Sanjay Dutt to play Charles Sobhraj

Munnabhai M.B.B.S aka Sanjay Dutt is taking a U-turn and is set to play the role of notorious criminal Charles Sobhraj.

Charles Shobhraj of French nationality is a criminal of half Indian- half Vietnamese origin. He has enjoyed the infamous sobriquet as the “bikini killer” and “the serpent’. The first because he is reputed to have murdered at least 20 backpackers in the 1970’s and 1980’s and the second because he has evaded the police across five continents who were on his chase. Presently he has been serving a life sentence since 2004 in Nepal for a double murder he committed a few decades ago.

The movie "Charles and I" promises to be a racy thriller based on his life. To be made by People pictures and directed by Prawaal Raman, its features Sunjay Dutt as Charles Sobhraj.

The only actor in my opinion who fitted that profile was Sanjay Dutt”, says writer-director Raman.

The film, “Charles and I", will be shot in Turkey, France, India and Australia. It will focus on the years of cat and mouse that Charles Sobhraj played with the law. The film is expected to hit the theatres in the middle of 2009.

Sanju Baba Rocks WOODSTOCK VILLA!!!

Rock star Sanjay Dutt's special video, directed by Sanjay Gupta is all set to rock the airwaves soon. The video is an intrinsic part of the plot in WOODSTOCK VILLA. Sikandar Kher makes an impressive debut with this film.

A source reveals that when director Hansal Mehta approached Sanjay Dutt for the song, he was so impressed with the song 'KYUN' composed by Aryans that he agreed to shoot for it immediately.

According to the director of WOODSTOCK VILLA Hansal Mehta, he could only see Sanjay Dutt in that particular song, since it was a crucial element in the film and through the song the twists in the story slowly unfolds. He reiterated that it is not an item number that will roll out at the end credits of the film.

Even the director felt that since Sanjay Gupta was so adept in directing songs with Sanjay Dutt, he wanted him to direct again in 'KYUN'. Incidentally all the songs shot by them together have been chartbusters, and the director is confident that 'Kyun' too will be another landmark song. The song 'Kyun' has been shot at 'Pauna Lake' near Kamshet Dam on the outskirts of Pune. One of the unit members reminisces that Sanjay Dutt was natural with the guitar chords and notes, and played it like a true pro.

Infact amongst the 3 guitars, Sanjay Dutt picked up the world's best selling electric guitar 'WASHBURN DIME'. It was a special Starfish shaped blue flame top guitar, and suited Sanjay Dutt's image to the T. And with the flowing red coat, Sanjay Dutt looked every bit of a heavy metal Rock star.

Hansal Mehta adds that "Sanjay Gupta has shot the song which has tremendous energy and style. And the way he has presented it does full justice to the song. Infact Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta bonded so well because they had similar music tastes and are music freaks."

Another unit member adds that Sanjay Dutt looked as natural as a rock star with the guitar that no wonder he had won a championship in the U S as a terrific 'Air Guitar' player." Sanjay Dutt is also known as a music freak especially into Rock, Heavy Metal and Jazz, and Blues and Soul.
No wonder than Rock star Sanjay Dutt is all set to rock in WOODSTOCK VILLA.

Sanjay Dutt and Manyata say they are not Married

Actor Sanjay Dutt and his 'friend' Manyata told a Mumbai court that they are not legally married, giving a dramatic twist to the case relating to the couple's marital status.

Challenging the allegations of bigamy levelled by Manyata's first husband Meraj Rehman, an undertrial, the couple has claimed there was no material to show the validity of their marriage in the eyes of the law. In an application filed before the Sessions Court on Monday, challenging the order of issuance of process against the two, Dutt and Manyata have stated that their reported marriage in Goa is a nullity.

Sanjay Dutt cancels his Marriage with Manyata

In a bizarre turn of events, film star Sanjay Dutt and wife Manyata have revoked their marriage in Goa.

The couple applied to the Goa Marriage Registrar seeking to revoke their marriage Thursday and the Goa marriage registrar has accepted the application permitting them to withdraw the marriage. The wedding now stands cancelled.

The couple in their application said they did not desire to honour their marriage under the Portuguese Civil Code.

Sources said the couple decided to cancel their marriage to avoid the legal tangle arising out of the alleged fake residential certificate that the registrar had accused Manyata of submitting at the time of the wedding.

The duo apparently wanted to register their marriage under the Special Marriages Act but was not informed at the time of marriage that the Act was not applicable in Goa.

Independent sources in Goa confirmed this when contacted by IANS over phone.

The development comes barely three weeks after the couple entered into wedlock in Goa and followed it up with a Hindu marriage ceremony in Mumbai.

Circles close to Dutt described the development an indication of how Dutt and Manyata are 'frustrated with the continuing legal complications hampering their wedlock'.

A close friend of Dutt says that Sanjay and Manyata just want to lead 'a normal, peaceful married life, but the legalities rocking their marriage has left a bad taste'.

The marriage led to several controversies. First, the Goa marriage registrar's office slapped a notice on the couple and then Manyata's ex-husband Meraj-Ur-Rehman claimed that he was still married to Dutt's wife.

A fortnight after the marriage was registered in Goa, the Marriage Registrar there served Manyata with a show cause notice questioning her on the fake residential certificate that she had submitted.

An official of the Goa government was suspended allegedly on ground of accepting invalid documents and registering the marriage in the tiny tourist paradise.
