When the Bollywood’s hottest ‘item-girl’ is angry, she will hurl belans, brooms, eggs, garbage, etc but if the contestant manages to impress her, she will give kisses, rings, roses and even garlands in the online game show on Zapak.com.

Sassy item girl Rakhi Sawant had macho star Salman Khan completely stumped when she unexpectedly popped the question - "Marry me!' - during the grand finale of his reality television show "Dus Ka Dum".

Rakhi also produced a ring after asking Salman to marry her, according to a press statement. During the finale of the "Nach Baliye 3" dance reality show last year, when Salman was the chief guest, Rakhi had walked away from the sets in a huff.

Rakhi had lost to Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali in the show and stormed off the stage with her beau Abhishek Awasthi in tow. Even though Salman followed her to pacify her, she snubbed him and drove off in her car.

Salman was apparently miffed with her after that. But considering that she was invited to his show, Salman seems to have forgiven the controversy queen.

Rakhi was on the show with comedian Shakeel Siddiqui to play the game. Two other celebrities, actors Rani Mukerji and Lara Dutta also graced the show, which will be telecast on September 14 at 8 p.m. on Sony Entertainment Television.

Rakhi Sawant Vs Mallika Sherawat

Actress, item girl and host of chat show, Rakhi Sawant is furious with another sultry actress Mallika Sherawat for refusing to appear on her T.V. show, the Rakhi Sawant Show.

The show, which airs on Zoom T.V.. has garnered guests like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. This makes Rakhi furious that with such big stars agreeing to be part of the show, Mallika Sherawat had the audacity to refuse the show even while she is busy promoting her new film.

Rakhi says that Mallika Sherawat was not on her wish list of interviewees but the show’s producers approached the latter who refused. “ I have been told that Mallika is insecure about facing me. She has no reason to be. I am not a good dancer like her and she’s a big star where as I am the poorest person in the industry today,” says a fuming Rakhi Sawant.

Rakhi feels Mallika shouldn’t have behaved in such a haughty manner, “Does she think she’s such a diva? In God’s eyes, we are all one and the same. Itna ghamand kabhi bhi nahi karna chahiye.(One should not be so proud) If I do, I will go to the gutter. I say she’s better than me but what I can give she can’t. But I am honest…. I won’t become smaller if she doesn’t come on my show, she becomes small for refusing. Anyway, I have no problems that Mallika refused me. When she needs me I will stand by her.”

Rakhi to be the host to Aamir Khan

After wooing the Hindustaan Ki Janta and winning a reality show ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’, Rakhi has successfully managed to impress Aamir Khan too! Aamir has answered Rakhi’s prayers and will be seen as a guest on her talk show soon.

Come this weekend, Rakhi Sawant will be seen hosting a reality show on Zoom and had expressed her desire to invite Aamir as her first guest. Hellbent on getting Aamir on the show she went ahead and even wrote a letter to Aamir which read what made him so important to her? Touched by Rakhi’s gesture Aamir told her he will try to find some time out of his busy schedule and hopefully will try to make it to the show.

Designer Ashley Rebello who has designed Rakhi’s outfits for the show confirmed the news by saying, “Yes, Aamir has agreed to be on the show along with Vidya and Rakhi is extremely happy. She in fact reached Grand Hyatt at 6.30am yesterday all geared up to shoot her first episode! Vidya and Aamir were expected to join Rakhi in the evening.”

On seeing Aamir, Rakhi’s first words were (in hindi), “ I really wanted you on the show because I believe you have the Midas touch. Whatever you do, whatever film you make, becomes super successful. So I wanted you as my first guest as I wanted my show to be a hit”.

So will Rakhi keep up to her image and dress scantily or will she opt for an image make-over and dress more decently. Rebello said, “Rakhi wanted to look like Mallika Sherawat and since I design Mallika’s clothes, she asked me to do her clothes as well. She personally told me how she appreciates what Mallika wears. She is also being given diction training so that she can improve her English speaking skills.”

Mallika has already taken Bollywood by storm with her oomph and sex appeal, hopefully her admirer Rakhi will follow suit and set the tv screen on fire soon!

Kashmira is making me famous, quotes Rakhi

Rakhi Sawant loves publicity of all kinds - positive or negative. And she doesn't mind even if it comes from her rivals like Kashmira Shah.

“Whether she loves me or hates me, she has made me famous by playing my role”, says Rakhi.

Kashmira apparently played an item girl named Rakhi who aspires to become an actress in a big budget musical called City of Dreams held in Mumbai last week.

But the Jungle girl maintained that her role had no resemblance to Rakhi. However, Rakhi asserts that it was undoubtedly a character inspired by her life.

“Kashmira definitely played Rakhi Sawant's role in that play. It was entirely based on me”, says Rakhi, who has just won a reality dance contest, Yeh Hai Jalwa.

She added, “Kashmera is such a girl that you befriend her and then she would backstab you. She never talks anything positive. I associate only negativity with her”.

Rakhi's remarks are a continuation of the war of words between the two Bollywood Item Girls.
Kashmira had recently said of Rakhi: “I love to hate her and I hate to love her”.

City of Dreams to be the first bollywood musical

Morani Brothers' and Ashish Gidwani Productions' City of Dreams- is going to be the first bollywood musical, which will be premiered on June 13 at Mumbai's St. Andrews Auditorium. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Urmila Matonkar, Arjun Rampal and Rakhi Sawant will be a part it.

The musical drama stars Nasreen Morani in the central role and is based on the story of a small-town girl who comes to Mumbai with stars in her eyes to become an actress. The two-hour extravaganza boasts of larger-than-life sets and props and is jointly directed by Gautam Joglekar and Mohammed Morani.

All the stars will be seen as narrators in an audio-visual playing intermittently. Five more shows are lined up in Mumbai.

Aarti Chhabaria to do Rakhi Sawant in Dhoom Dharaka

Rakhi Sawant can consider herself to have really arrived!

Her staying on in news month after month has indeed paid dividends as one of the upcoming films has a leading character based entirely on her. The film in question is DHOOM DADAKKA and the character of Rakhi is spoofed by its leading lady Aarti Chhabaria.

Though Aarti's role was completely chopped off in recent release ANAMIKA - THE UNTOLD STORY, she can be rest assured that she would be quite talked about once DHOOM DADAKKA is unveiled on the big screen. She plays the role of Shivani Sawant (an obvious take on Rakhi Sawant), who is a sexy Item Queen in the film industry and is a craze all over. Shown to be an extremely dominating and sharp girl who has it all the way she wants, just like Rakhi Sawant does in her real life, Aarti has all her 'adas' and 'nakhras' in place.

This is not the first time that audience would get to see a character modeled on Rakhi Sawant on the big screen. Incidentally Rakhi Sawant had played herself in last year's release SHOOT OUT AT LOKHANDWALA. In the film, she didn't really mind going over the top in her short cameo where her now-famous bindaas attitude was on full display.

Coming back to DHOOM DADAKKA, the film is a laugh riot which is made of an interesting cast comprising of Shaad Randhawa, Sameer Dattani and Shama Sikander along with comedy brigade of Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Razzak Khan and Bobby Darling. Directed by Shashi Ranjan, the film is all set for a 23rd May release.

Rakhi Sawant's item song removed from Krazzy 4

Item girl Rakhi Sawant is known for her naughty pranks and tricks to one and all but this it was the dancer who got fooled…that too by her Krazzy 4 director Jaideep Sen.

The director told the media that he and Rakhesh Roshan have jointly decided to remove Rakhi Sawant's item song as it wasn't working in the flow of the film!!!! Although Rakhi gave her best and danced for 12 hours non stop for the song and even promoted the song thanks to which she got other offers.. but still the song is going to be removed, said Jaideep Sen.

But thankfully this was just an April Fool's joke for Rakhi.

Said Jaideep Sen, "Rakhi Sawant is not only a great dancer but is professionalism personified and her song is a great hit. There is no way the song is going to be removed from Krazzy 4".

Well we are sure that if the song had really been removed the item girl would have definitely been in total shock!! And what her retaliation would have been, we wonder!!!

Tanushree Dutta is Mad, says Rakhi Sawant

Rakhi Sawant seems to be getting lucky with her growing item numbers in films. After featuring for an item number in Krazzy 4, Rakhi has been roped in for yet another item dance in Horn Ok Pleassss. Rakhi has replaced Tanushree Dutta.

It may be recalled that we had reported yesterday about a fracas between Tanushree and Nana Patekar on the sets of the film at the Filmistan Studios. Apparently, Nana passed some derogatory comment on Tanushree's dress sense and that did not go down well with the actress.

However, on Wednesday night, producer Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang approached Rakhi to fill in for Tanushree. Our source revealed, "Siddiqui and Sarang met Rakhi on Wednesday night and explained their dilemma to Rakhi, who immediately agreed to do the item number. In fact, she has already begun shooting with Nana for the song."

When contacted, director Rakesh Sarang confirmed the news and said, "Tanushree refused to attend the rehearsals and wanted to start shooting the song directly. She also insisted that the song should be picturised only on her."

Without revealing details, Tanushree said, "Yes, there was an issue on the sets, but I didn't want to take this to the media. Is there anything wrong in that? But the electronic media was adamant on getting bytes from me and in the
Rakhi Sawant on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss fracas my car was damaged. Moreover, if I only wanted to throw tantrums, I would have thrown them from the first day itself and not waited for the last day of the shoot. I rehearsed for five days for the song and was very well prepared for it."

Though Tanushree refused to comment on the 'issue', a source close to the actress revealed, "When the filmmakers had approached Tanushree for the item number, she had not only confirmed the design of her costume, but also the dance steps for the song. Tanushree was shocked when she learnt that the item songs involved intimate touching which was not agreeable to her. She had also heard about Nana's habit of passing comments but this time she experienced it herself."

Meanwhile, Rakhi Sawant said that she had no qualms about doing the item number with Nana. She said, "Sami Siddiqui and Rakesh Sarang felt that I was the right person for the song so I agreed to do it. I have great regard for Nana Patekar."

Ekta Kapoor shows Rakhi Sawant the door

After the brouhaha Rakhi Sawant created about the alleged rigging of results on STAR Plus' dance show Nach Baliye 3 and her questioning the 'role' of Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms in the final result, Balaji has decided to drop Rakhi from their first awards function on Jan 25 that is likely to be held at Dubai.

When asked, Ekta told IANS: 'I wouldn't really know the details of the show since they are being handled by Bunty Wallia and the Moranis. But yes, if my company has taken a policy decision, I am with them.'

'Rakhi was being offered a place in our first awards function. No, she wasn't going to dance but she was going to host one segment of the show. But after she has been making wild and totally unfounded allegations against Ekta, accusing her of favouring Aamir and Sanjida, Balaji has decided to drop Rakhi from their awards function,' said a Balaji source.

Ekta's awards function is likely to be held in Dubai. According to sources, Shah Rukh Khan has finally said yes to a performance at what promises to be one of the biggest live events.

Shah Rukh will be accompanied by none other than the Balaji breakaway bahu Smriti Irani.

'The idea is to set aside all rancour, to disprove stories about the ill-will generated by our actors who move out of Balaji. So it isn't just Smriti who's being invited to perform, we're also asking Iqbal Khan and Rajiv Khandelwal to join us on Jan 25,' said the source.

While the Moranis will be organising Shah Rukh's performance, the rest of the event will be handled by Bunty Walia's company. source

Police to probe Rakhi Sawant's charges against Star TV

Mumbai Police's Crime Branch will investigate Rakhi Sawant's complaint against private television channel Star TV's reality dance show, Nach Baliye.

In-charge of Oshiwara police station Dilip Patil said that Rakhi and her choreographer Abhishekh Awasthi submitted a joint written complaint, alleging malpractices by the channel.

'We have accepted the complaint but not yet registered a case,' Patil told IANS Tuesday. A police team will go into all aspects of the matter before deciding whether it merits further proceedings, including a formal police case, he emphasized.

Patil also made it clear this was a 'non-priority' matter and would be probed in the routine course. 'There are far bigger issues of importance than this, so we shall deploy our men as per the merits of the case,' he pointed out.

Last Saturday, well-known TV actress Sanjeeda Shaikh and her choreographer Aamir Ali were declared winners of the third Nach Baliye reality dance show.

Abhishek emerged the runners-up in the show, which attracted 11 celeb couples this year for the competition which went on for four months.

Soon after Bollywood megastar Salman Khan announced the winners, Rakhi started crying and walked off the stage with Abhishek.

Addressing mediapersons Tuesday, Rakhi and Abhishek levelled several accusations against the channel, including tampering with SMS votes, indulging in software manipulation, etc.

'We knew hours before the results that we had lost,' claimed Rakhi and Abhishek.

The duo alleged that if the police do not investigate this 'cyber crime', such frauds will never stop. Rakhi also pleaded with the Mumbai police to act as 'Santa' and initiate action against the channel and the show organisers.

Sanjeeda is the vamp sister in the popular Star Plus serial, Kayamath. After bagging the Nach Baliye crown, which included a Rs.2.50 million cash award plus other benefits, she has been catapulted into the top league of TV stars. source
