Dancing Queen Madhuri in Aditya Chopra’s next

After Aaja Nachle, Madhuri Dixit is all set to put the screen on fire in Aditya Chopra’s next directorial venture. Madhuri was approached by Aditya Chopra to star in his next flick which is said to be a women centric story.


Aditya Chopra, who was holidaying in the US sometime back, met Madhuri with script at her residence. Madhuri is yet to confirm her views. Besides this, Madhuri is also expected to be doing Prakash Jha’s adaptation of ‘Lolita’ with Ranbir Kapoor.

Rani to Miss Durga Puja

Rani Mukherji is rather unhappy with friend and producer, Aditya Chopra. Going by what happened a few days ago at Yash Raj studios, it seems that, for Aditya, work comes first. Apparently, the production unit of Anurag Sinha's yet-untitled film is scheduled to shoot in Amritsar and Chandigarh during the Durga Puja. As a result, Rani's plans for the Durga Puja with her family have gone kaput. While her family will celebrate the Puja in town, she will be off shooting for Yash Raj's film.

What's more, it didn't help when Rani expressed her displeasure at the prospect of missing out on the Puja, to Adi.

Recently, Rani and Aditya had an argument when Rani requested Adi to change the dates so she could be in town to attend the Puja. But Adi didn't budge and maintained that the schedule was a combination of dates of several actors and no alterations could be made.

Rani has no option but to pack her bags and set off for the shoot. She tried arguing with Adi to give her some time off, but in vain.

Every year, Rani, her parents and brother Raja Mukherji celebrate the Puja in great enthusiasm at the Poddar School Grounds in Santacruz. Last year, in spite of having a hectic shooting schedule, she made sure that she took active part in the celebrations in the city.

This year the Puja is being planned on a more grand scale, and the venue may even be shifted to Vile Parle.

19 year Old Anushka Opposite the Versatile SRK in RAB NE BANA DI JODI

Bangalore model, 19-year-old Anushka Sharma is the new find of Aditya Chopra. She is due to make her debut in a lead role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Aditya Chopra’s third film as director RAB NE BANA DI JODI.

It's certainly a dream come true for Anushka as she make her debut in a film directed by the man who directed Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Mohabbatein, and produced many more blockbusters and that too opposite the king of bollywood.

Yash Chopra said, "We were looking first and foremost for someone who could truly embody the spirit of small-town Punjab and we know we have found her in Anushka. And while she has no previous acting experience, we have seen that unique spark in her that makes us confident that she will be a standout even opposite Shah Rukh."

RAB NE BANA DI JODI will go on floors on 16th May and will hit theatres worldwide on 12th December.

Is Rani Engaged to Aditya?

Are Aditya & Rani engaged? The grapevine is abuzz with rumours ever since the former has filed a petition seeking divorce from his first wife at the Bandra Family Court in northwest Mumbai.

Aditya's father, movie moghul Yash Chopra, is not too happy with this alliance and therefore Aditya has moved out his family home and is now staying in a five-star hotel in suburban Mumbai.

In fact, Aditya's parents have already made it known publicly that they are against their son divorcing his wife whom they adore. This might also indirectly mean that if Aditya's marries Rani, he will have to do so against his parents' wishes.

It is speculated that Aditya's shift from his father's home is a prelude to his impending marriage with Bollywood star Rani, with whom he has been having an affair for a long time, according to sources.

A rumour has been also doing the rounds since Sunday that Aditya had, in fact, given the actress an engagement ring a day earlier when both met secretly at the hotel where he has been staying.

Though none close to the Chopras would confirm the rumour, but the fact that Aditya's petition seeking divorce from his first wife, Payal, was granted after the mandatory grace period of six months last week, lent teeth to the speculation.

'I am afraid, I will not be able to comment on the private life of my client. Moreover, I have no inkling of the exchange of engagement rings between Aditya and Rani. My client does not keep me informed about his private affairs,' Gopal Pandey, long-time publicist of Yash Raj Films, told IANS.

As a matter of fact, in deference to the reputation of Yash Raj Films, especially the position filmmaker Yash Chopra holds in Bollywood, none came forward to comment one way or the other on the 'impending' Aditya-Rani marriage, which, without confirmation, has remained a rumour.
