Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra all set for Engagement

After romancing for the past two years, Bollywood’s long legged lass Shilpa Shetty and her NRI boyfriend Raj Kundra have finally decided to change their single status! The couple is getting engaged on October 24 in Mumbai.

Gossip corner says that it will be a low profile engagement ceremony taking place at Raj’s abode in Juhu and Shilpa will be seen wearing a Manish Malhotra outfit.

A famous Bandra store is expected to manage Shilpa’s jewellery. “Shilpa has always been our client. She will look very beautiful with my jewellery. Hopefully, we will be doing her wedding jewellery too,” says an official from the jewellery store.

It’s quite surprising that Shilpa is getting engaged while her younger sibling – Shamita is still living in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house. Speaking on Shilpa’s engagement, a close friend said, “Yes, it’s happening very suddenly. Raj proposed to her two days ago when he gifted her a ring for Diwali. Raj is very keen that they formalise their relationship. Shilpa consulted her parents and accepted the proposal.”

The engagement will be attended only by the Shetty and Kundra clan as “Invitations have been sent out, but only to a few select people. As far as the film industry goes, very few of her colleagues know about her sudden mangni. Shilpa is on top of the world.”

According to Shilpa’s friend, the marriage which is due in early 2010 will take place once “Shamita comes out of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.”

Shilpa Shetty to marry this December

Though Shilpa Shetty has not disclosed much about her much-anticipated wedding but her daddy dearest has spilled the beans about the same. It is believed that Shilpa will settle in London after the marriage with Raj Kundra.

Shilpa’s father, Surendra Shetty had approached the Surat court seeking release of his passport to attend Shilpa’s wedding. In his plea, Shetty has mentioned the marriage of his daughter in London in the last month of this year, thereby confirming the speculation that Shilpa will be tying the knot with her long-time beau Raj Kundra in December 2009.

The passport of Surendra Shetty was seized back in 2003, for allegedly issuing extortion threat to a saree manufacturer.

Shilpa Shetty to sign a Chinese Movie

Though Shilpa Shetty is not getting her share of Bollywood films, her slender look has lured the Chinese filmmakers. She has been given an offer for a Chinese film titled Desire. Shilpa is busy hosting Big Boss and she will sign the movie very soon. She will star opposite actor Xia Yu in the movie and it will be released in both English and Chinese.

Shipa confirmed the news but is yet to sign the project. Hopefully, she will start shooting from December. She has also started a production in the name of S2 production and has few good films in hand.

Her personal life is also going great guns. By next year, she is going to tie the knot with her boyfriend Raj Kundra.

Of late Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion' has been the talk of the time . At least it did appeal to Shilpa Shetty and her current Boy friend. And so she decided to drop security measures and reach a city multiplex to watch the movie. She was looking as hot as ever in her regular blue jeans and shirt and looked happy. She was accompanied by boyfriend Raj Kundra, her sister Shamita Shetty and her mom.

Shilpa has been refusing to talk to the media about Raj Kundra. But this act certainly shows that she is now keen to go public with it. It is also assumed that Raj is very much a son to Shilpa's mother and he usually stays with them when he is in India.

Shilpa is currently shooting for nothing. She will soon be leaving for London to complete the rest of her forthcoming film, 'The Man', which is being directed by Sunny Deol. And after that she will be shooting for her own production, which is to be directed by Manish Jha of 'Matrubhoomi' fame.
