HBO to make film on Barack Obama

US President Barack Obama’s real life will soon be be turned into a new movie. HBO has optioned a book on which the movie on Obama will be based.

Although casting for the movie is yet to be finalized, bosses at HBO are searching for stars to portray important characters of Obama and First Lady Michelle.

Other characters of the movie would be of chief of staff - Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s adviser Linda Douglass and actor Kal Penn, who is about to join the White House Office of Public Liaison.

The movie is predicted to be a combination of historical significance, generational shift and the style and energy surrounding the Obama administration.

Barack Obama to appear in The Simpsons

US President Barack Obama and British actor Russell Brand are being considered for an appearance in American animated sitcom The Simpsons.

If everything goes according to plan, the 47-year-old Barack Obama will become the first president in office to appear on the show.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair had appeared on the show in 2003 while he was still in office, and the producers James L Brooks and Al Jean, also hope ex-US president George W Bush will agree to appear in Springfield.

SRK listed among the 50 Most Powerful People

After conquering Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has now been ranked at the 41st spot among the 50 most powerful people in the world by the prestigious Newsweek magazine, with Barack Obama topping the list. The other Indian besides the King Khan in the list happens to be the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who's at the 17th spot.

The magazine describes SRK as 'King of Bollywood', a title that every cinegoer is aware of. The magazine also stated that 'It's not just that his romantic flicks make gazillions, it's where those gazillions come from. Khan is huge in the Muslim world, even in Pakistan and Afghanistan, where the mullahs ban his films. Their main appeal is certainly the song-and-dance numbers, but Khan makes devoutly secular films where love trounces bigotry.

Now with even the Newsweek in his kitty, one is simply left wondering as to what will be the King's next conquest.
