Kate Beckinsale voted Sexiest Woman Alive of 2009

Kate Beckinsale has been voted Sexiest Woman Alive for the year 2009 by Esquire magazine.

The 36-year-old British actress known for her roles in films like Pearl Harbor (2001) and Click (2006), takes the crown from Halle Berry, who was named last year’s top lady.

But, the stunner insists her brothers won’t let the new title go to her head.

She says, "This whole notion of being named Sexiest Woman Alive is going to earn me quite a beating. You can’t have that title with four brothers. I’ll get wedgies.

"I’m feeling that I must earn this - I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something."

The wife of film director Len Wiseman can next be seen starring in comedy-drama movie "Everybody’s Fine", which is slated for December 4 US release.

Halle Berry and Jamie Foxx shocked the A-List audience at the Spike TV Awards with some no-holds-barred display of affection on stage.

Berry, who has a year-old daughter with long time partner Gabriel Aubry, came on stage to receive the “Decade of Hotness” award from Foxx but ended up in a passionate huddle with the actor, much to the surprise of onlookers including Brad Pitt and Mickey Rourke.

The 42-year-old actress was accepting the prize for “10 years of looking great” and seemed determined to prove that she was a deserving winner with the outrageous display of affection, which saw Foxx grabbing her derriere.

Though Berry’s gimmick was the high point of the night, Brad Pitt’s who was inducted into the “Guy’s Hall Of Fame” made the audience roar with laughter when he took a dig at presenter Mel Gibson, referring to his 2006 arrest for drunken driving.

Pitt’s partner Angelina Jolie won the “Femme Fatale” category but missed the ceremony.

Other guests included comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, who accepted the award for the funniest star dressed in a leopard print.

“The Wrestler” star Mickey Rourke was named “Guy of The Year” while Clint Eastwood was given the “Brass Balls Award” for his lifetime of work as an actor and filmmaker.

Hollywood actress Halle Berry will shave her head for her role in Nappily Ever After. The stunning actress, who wowed all with a skintight white dress at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California, confessed she was terrified of the pending radical style.

“I’m scared to death. I just hope my reaction fits into the story. If it’s uncontrollable screaming, it might be a different type of movie”, said Berry.

This shows on the photoshoot as 42-year-old looks much older than usual in the pics. The dresses she wore for the photoshoot were all designed and wore by the models at the recent Milan Fashion week.

The mag also a one on one interview with the lady where on being asked about marrying her partner Gabriel Aubry, she says, “No. I’m done. I happened to find a person who feels done too, and he’s never been married before. So it works.”

She has also talked about her bad habits in the magazine and also admitted that she "can`t deal with the paparazzi. She disclosed the fact that she is addicted to online shopping."I buy baby clothes online. Nahla can`t wear all the clothes I`ve bought," she said.

Halle Berry has been voted the Sexiest Black Woman Alive in a new US TV poll.

According to a report by Contactmusic, “The Oscar winning actress landed the top spot in TV One Access’ poll, which aired in the US on Sunday”.

Last year, Halle Berry was named ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ by Esquire magazine.

Tyra Banks, Alicia Keys and Jada Pinkett Smith are among others that made to the list.

The list also features Rihanna, Iman, Janet Jackson and actresses Joy Bryant, Gabrielle Union and Kerry Washington.

The suave and the sophisticated Halle Berry is Esquire's new Sexiest Woman Alive. "Being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I'll take it," she said after being bestowed the honour of the sexiest woman alive.

Halle Berry may be a mommy of a certain age, but the men's magazine Esquire says the Oscar-winning actress is still the Sexiest Woman Alive.

In an article posted on the magazine's website, Berry poses in a parody of a 2000 cover photograph of former US President Bill Clinton, and writes about what she thinks of winning Esquire's annual honor for the first time.

Esquire said it dressed Berry in a racier version of Clinton's suit jacket and blue tie to recreate an iconic cover for its 75th anniversary celebration.

Berry starred last year in the movie 'Things We Lost in the Fire' and is due to star next year in 'Frankie and Alice,' a film about a woman with multiple personality disorder.

In the Esquire article, Berry describes things she finds sexy. It turns out that spaghetti and wine are major turn-ons. "Sexy is not about wearing sexy clothes or shaking your booty until you damn near get hip dysplasia; it's about knowing that sexiness is a state of mind - a comfortable state of being," she said.

Berry won an Oscar in 2002 for her role in the movie 'Monster's Ball'. She played the wife of an executed murderer who becomes romantically involved with a guard at the prison where her husband had been held.

Berry gave birth to a baby girl. The father is Berry's partner, French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, 32.

Berry has been married and divorced twice. Her first marriage was to baseball player David Justice. She adopted the daughter of her second husband, musician Eric Benet, but the couple broke up in 2003.
